The Andersons of Toledo, Ohio have broken ground on a new ethanol plant at their grain facility in Albion, Michigan. The plant will generate 55 million gallons of ethanol per year. By products include dried distillers grain that will be available to local farmers, and CO2 that is used in the bottling industry and possibly dry ice in the future. They will need 20 million bu. Corn which doubles the amount of corn that the facility takes in currently. They hope to be up and running in October, 2006.

Rain has been spotty around the country this year. Folks report rain on all sides of them, but not on their farm. One farmer reported combining wheat on one end of a 100 acre field while it was raining on the other end.
