AAM loses it's most faithful member

(To let everyone know what happened, I have included part of a letter that Vera wrote before V.B.’s death.)

Dear AAM Friends,

As most of you know, V.B. was really not feeling well at Convention in OKC in January. He had been ill for a while at that time, but we thought he was having trouble getting over the flu. After we got home, he went to the Dr. and after many tests, they concluded that he had Cirrhosis of the liver. This was quite a shock to us, because he hardly ever drinks and never smoked. The Drs. call it cryogenic because they don’t know what caused the damage. We believe some diabetes medication has caused the problem.

V.B was in the hospital in Amarillo for a couple of months and on June 20, we were transferred by ambulance to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, TX. On June 26th, V.B. received a liver and we stayed at an apartment near the Center for his recovery. Thanks to all of our friends that have been so generous with their prayers and financial help at this time.

Love to all, Vera
