National Farm Broadcasters to meet

The National Farm Broadcasters will hold their Annual Convention in Kansas City Missouri at the Westin Crown Plaza Downtown.

The Convention will be held November 12th through the 14th, 2003.

This will be the third year that the American Agriculture Movement will have a table at Trade Talk, which is scheduled for November 13th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Again this year the AAM will be one of the sponsors of the Convention.

It is imperative that we have State Leaders, National Officers and other AAM members in attendance. We must begin talking about the future of Agriculture with farm broadcasters at Trade Talk. We have thousands of young farmers that have never heard of Parity Pricing or Raw Material Economics.

This organization has always been very progressive working on issues that put agriculture production and the well being of family farmers first. AAM must start working with the younger generation of farmers to inform them of Raw Material Economics and Parity Pricing.

There are several hundred thousand young farm families struggling on the land trying to make ends meet. Many of their wives have had to take jobs in town. Where available, many of the men have also gotten off-farm jobs and farm after hours. This causes even more stress on a farm family.

AAM should take the leadership role to inform the younger generation of Parity Pricing and Raw Material Economics.

Trade Talk is a good place to start working with broadcasters in your area, developing working relationships and to inform the broadcasters of Parity Pricing and what Raw Material Economics would do for the region they serve.

Once again I encourage the National Officers and State Leadership to attend Trade Talk in Kansas City on November 13th. For further information, call Buddy Vance at 806-537-3750.
