Delegates meet in Kansas City, Missouri
National Delegates of the American Agriculture Movement, Inc. met at the Clarion
Hotel in Kansas City MO on November 12, 2003.
Officers and members from eight states attended a delegates meeting in Kansas
City, MO. The meeting was held in conjunction with the Farm Broadcasters Annual
Convention.
Secretary’s Report, Treasurer’s Report, and Parity Fund Report were discussed
and approved.
Wayne Allen and Leo Hopper attended the National Family Farm Coalition (NFFC)
meeting in Iowa. After their report and some discussion, it was decided AAM
should continue their membership.
It was learned that Bill Gill had passed away in September. Many of you will
remember him as a speaker at several AAM Conventions. He wrote the book “Trade
Wars Against America” and founded the organization, American Coalition for
Competitive Trade (ACCT).
President Buddy Vance appointed two standing committees. One a Convention
Committee to handle all the preparations for the upcoming Convention. They are
Buddy Vance, Arthur Chaney, Wayne Allen and Joyce Jobgen.
The other committee will be a permanent one. Ed Fashing will become our
Vice-President of Communications and will have Don Deichman and Barry Richards
on his PR committee.
